Last week, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of Coca-Cola's largest factory in Vietnam was held at Phu An Thanh Industrial Park, Tay Ninh Province (formerly Long An). The event was attended by representatives from central, provincial, and local governments, global leaders from Swire Coca-Cola and The Coca-Cola Company, SOL E&C as the construction partner, and various business partners.

The Southern Factory in Tay Ninh is currently the largest among Coca-Cola’s three advanced production facilities in Vietnam, with a total investment of USD 136 million. The project was developed on a 19-hectare site, with a construction floor area (CFA) of over 65,000 m². The factory sets a new benchmark in sustainable manufacturing and efficient operations, and it is also the first food and beverage facility in Vietnam to be awarded the LEED Gold certification for Green Buildings.

In this project, SOL E&C partnered with Swire Coca-Cola as the General Contractor for both Civil and M&E works, and successfully handed over the factory after just over one year of construction. A key highlight of the project was the highly complex M&E system. SOL E&C worked closely with leading technology contractors such as Tetra Pak, Krones, and KHS to integrate the M&E systems with the production lines, ensuring full compliance with the Global Standards of Swire Coca-Cola and The Coca-Cola Company. Moreover, SOL E&C exercised strict control over safety compliance and actively fostered a proactive safety culture among all workers on site. As a result, the project achieved an impressive milestone of over 2,000,000 safe working hours with zero lost-time injuries.

Upon completion, the project received high praise from the Client and was officially selected by Coca-Cola as a global flagship factory, having met rigorous standards for safety, quality, and schedule. In January 2025, a delegation of experts from the U.S. visited the site to learn from the project’s execution and explore how the best practices could be applied to future Coca-Cola facilities worldwide.

Speaking at the inauguration event, Ms. Milly Cheng, General Director of Coca-Cola Vietnam, stated that this is one of the most advanced production facilities in the region, demonstrating the company’s confidence in the growth potential of the Vietnamese market and its long-term investment commitment. She also extended her sincere thanks to the construction partner for accompanying Coca-Cola Vietnam throughout the successful delivery of the project.
