On the afternoon of August 31, the groundbreaking ceremony of Long Thanh International Airport Project and Passenger Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport Project took place. The ceremony was connected online between 2 locations: Long Thanh, Dong Nai province and Tan Son Nhat, Ho Chi Minh City with the attendance of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; leaders of the ministries, departments, and HCMC's authorities; representatives of domestic and international agencies and contractors.

The deployed bidding packages are including: package for construction and installation of equipment for the passenger terminal of Long Thanh International Airport phase 1; package for construction and installation of construction equipment for runways, taxiways, and aircraft aprons at Long Thanh International Airport phase 1; package for construction and installation of equipment for passenger terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

In particular, the passenger terminal of Long Thanh Airport is designed in the image of a lotus flower, including 1 ground floor and 3 floors, total floor area of 376,451.32m2; roof top height 45.55m; with 40 arranged close parking positions for aircraft. The project has a value of more than 35,000 billion VND, construction period of 39 months, and is the most valuable and complex bidding package for the time being. In phase 1, Long Thanh Airport is capable of serving 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo per year. When fully completed, the airport will have 4 runways, 4 passenger terminals along with synchronous auxiliary items, capable of handling 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per year.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested construction units to strive to exceed schedule, improve project quality; to definitely not let the capital increase, not divide the bidding package into smaller parts, not fragment the project, not make it difficult to manage, and not reduce the effectiveness of this project; to ensure at the same time, technical safety, aesthetics and environmental hygiene; to resolutely fight against corruption, negativity, and group interests during the implementation at all stages of the project; to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of the citizens, and harmonize the interests between the citizens and the state.

These new projects are in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province, 8,000 km east of Istanbul. This journey is a testament to our global outreach and dedication. Vietur Joint Venture is committed to completing the construction of the passenger terminal under the Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1 for a maximum period of 39 months with construction quality according to the highest international standards".
