On July 3rd, 2025, global packaging leader Tetra Pak officially inaugurated Phase 2 of its green packaging factory at VSIP II-A Industrial Park, Vinh Tan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Binh Duong Province), doubling the capacity of the existing facility. In this project, SOL E&C partnered with Tetra Pak as the General Contractor for both Civil and M&E works.
Tetra Pak’s €217 Million Green Factory at VSIP II-A
The green factory has a total investment of €217 million, with Phase 2 accounting for €97 million. The facility now boasts an annual capacity of over 30 billion packs in 15 new packaging formats, effectively serving key regional markets including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand. Notably, over 55% of its production is dedicated to the domestic market, enhancing the self-sufficiency of Vietnam’s packaging and food & beverage (F&B) industries.
The Inauguration key moment of Tetra Pak Green Factory - Phase 2
In Vietnam, the Tetra Pak Binh Duong Factory - Phase 1 was opened in 2019 and is the only factory in the country to achieve the prestigious AA+ rating, the highest level in the British Retail Consortium Global Standards (BRCGS) quality management system. Phase 2 continues to adopt advanced production technologies in accordance with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards, including AI-powered quality control and cutting-edge automation solutions.
High-Spec M&E System Designed to Meet World-Class Manufacturing Standards
As the General Contractor for both Civil and M&E works in Phase 2, SOL E&C closely collaborated with all Client and Partners to complete and hand over the project components to Tetra Pak, meeting the stringent standards for safety, quality, and schedule.
Upon handover in June 2025, Phase 2 of the factory was officially awarded the LEED Gold certification for Building Design and Construction by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
