On November 11th, 2024, Newtecons, Ricons, and SOL E&C held the Commencement Ceremony of Lumi Hanoi project. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Client, CapitaLand Development (Vietnam); Main contractors Newtecons, Ricons, and SOL E&C; as well as Consulting partners INNO, DLS Consultant, TEXO, and the project’s partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
CapitaLand Development (CLD) is the development arm of the CapitaLand Group, with a portfolio worth 21.9 billion SGD on September 30th, 2024. CLD’s well-established real estate development capabilities span across various asset classes, including integrated developments, retail, office, lodging, residential, business parks, industrial, logistics and data centres. CLD (Vietnam) oversees and grows CLD’s investment and development business in Vietnam, one of CLD’s core markets where it has built an extensive presence over 30 years.
The Commencement Ceremony's key moment
Lumi Hanoi was officially announced by CLD in November 2023. The project is located in a well-planned area in western Hanoi, adjacent to various amenities such as parks, schools, shopping centers, healthcare facilities, and the new administrative center. Residents enjoy convenient access to the project via Thang Long Boulevard, with a 20-minute drive to Hanoi’s central district and a 40-minute drive to Noi Bai International Airport.
The project's perspective
This project promises to create a community that harmonizes sustainability, sophistication, and tranquility, redefining urban living. Lumi Hanoi aims to achieve EDGE certification from IFC, a member of the World Bank Group. Sustainable features of the project include 4.3 hectares of lush landscaping, a rainwater harvesting system, an ecological pond, biodiversity systems, and designated charging stations for electric vehicles and bicycles.
The project has a total development value of over SGD 1 billion (VND 18 trillion) and will offer approximately 4,000 apartments across nine towers ranging from 29 to 35 floors. Lumi Hanoi features a variety of apartment types, from one-bedroom units of 42 sqm to four-bedroom units of 135 sqm. Duplexes and penthouses, with areas ranging from 115 sqm to 410 sqm, will also be included in the project. In partnership with CLD on the Lumi Hanoi project, Newtecons, Ricons, and SOL E&C will be the main contractors, undertaking core structural works, finishing (for basements and superstructures), interior finishes for lobbies and typical corridors, MEP systems, façade, infrastructure, landscaping,etc. throughout the project.

Speaking at the commencement ceremony, Mr. Alwin Low, General Manager of North Vietnam of CLD (Vietnam), highlighted the positive impact that the Lumi Hanoi project has had on the real estate market. Within just seven months of its launch, the sales rate has reached 99%. He emphasized the critical role of Newtecons, Ricons, and SOL E&C in realizing the project and contributing to the vision of delivering an exceptional quality of life that Lumi Hanoi aims to offer its future residents
