On 15 January 2026, Ho Chi Minh City officially commenced and broke ground on four major infrastructure and transport projects with a combined investment of nearly VND 240 trillion, translating central government directives on strategic infrastructure development into action, strengthening national competitiveness, and positioning the city for the era of mega-urban growth. The main event was held at the groundbreaking of the Rach Chiec National Sports Complex, attended by former President Truong Tan Sang, General Le Hong Anh, former Executive Secretary, Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Party Committee Secretary Tran Luu Quang, along with representatives of ministries and central departments.
Within the event series, Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong - Founding Chairman of the Ecosystem, together with SOL E&C’s leadership, including Mr. Ngo Thanh Phong - Chairman of the Board, Mr. Le Chi Trung - General Director, and representatives from the Ecosystem, attended two groundbreaking ceremonies, the Phu My 2 Bridge Construction Project, invested by Masterise Group, and the Rach Chiec National Sports Complex project, invested by Sun Group.

Phu My 2 Bridge plays a pivotal role in completing the interregional and external transport network, expanding urban development space, easing pressure on existing routes, and enhancing connectivity between the city center and surrounding areas. The project is approximately 6.3 km long, designed for eight lanes, with a total investment of around VND 23.186 trillion. Upon completion, it is expected to establish a new interregional transport corridor, shorten travel time, reduce logistics costs, and promote green and sustainable urban and industrial development in Ho Chi Minh City’s eastern area and the Bien Hoa, Dong Nai corridor.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong, together with leadership representatives of Newtecons, Ricons, SOL E&C, BM Windows, BOHO, and DB, took a commemorative photo at the Phu My 2 Bridge groundbreaking event.
Regarding the Rach Chiec National Sports Complex project, the development has a preliminary total investment exceeding VND 145.6 trillion, to be delivered under a public private partnership model, across nearly 187 hectares. The project is oriented to become a modern sports economy ecosystem, targeting a national and regional scale sports hub. Key components include Vietnam’s largest modern stadium, with a capacity of 65,000 to 75,000 seats, a multi purpose indoor arena with 18,000 seats, an aquatic sports center, a football academy, a sports hospital, an exhibition center, and a public park.

In 2025, the Ecosystem recorded strong growth, with consolidated revenue reaching VND 29 trillion, including VND 26 trillion contributed by the construction and installation segment of the three companies. Building on this performance, together with proven delivery capability across large scale projects nationwide, notably the passenger terminal at Long Thanh International Airport currently accelerating to meet key milestones, Newtecons, Ricons, and SOL E&C will expand participation in national priority infrastructure and transport projects in 2026, further reinforcing the Ecosystem’s combined strength.
