On the morning of October 10, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for SPX Express’ largest sorting center in Southeast Asia was solemnly held at Industrial Centre Yen My, Hung Yen Province. The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to Vietnam, representatives from the Singapore Enterprise & Trade Promotion Agency, SPX Express and SEA Group, the Clients Frasers Property Vietnam and Gelex Group, the Design & Build General Contractor SOL E&C, along with consulting firms, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The Groundbreaking's key moment
The project in Hung Yen is developed under a special built-to-suit model tailored to SPX Express’ operational requirements, and it is also the first sorting center in Vietnam to feature a two-level cross-dock design, enabling fully independent traffic flows on separate levels. This design allows for parallel operations, optimizing logistics processes and significantly reducing parcel transfer time. The center is equipped with 158 loading docks, directly connected to over 700 sorting points nationwide, with a handling capacity of up to 7 million parcels per day, making it SPX’s largest automated sorting hub in Southeast Asia. As the Design & Build General Contractor, SOL E&C is responsible for the overall design, structural construction, architectural finishing, M&E system installation, and infrastructure works of the project.

The Project's perspective
Mr. Edwin Tan, Deputy CEO, Frasers Property Vietnam and Managing Director, Industrial & Logistics (Southeast Asia), said that Fraser Property Vietnam was pleased to once again partner with SPX Express with this significant collaboration.
