Rencently, SOL E&C successfully organised the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the project Compass II Co., Ltd. (Compass II Factory) at VSIP I Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremony was attended by senior leaders of the Client (Stanley Black & Decker), the Design & Build General Contractor (SOL E&C), consulting partners (JLL, SEAS, BK Vietnam), other project partners, and the site management team.

Compass II Factory is a flagship investment by Stanley Black & Decker - the world’s largest manufacturer of tools and mechanical equipment. The corporate has a presence in over 180 countries and owns renowned handheld tool brands such as DEWALT, CRAFTSMAN, STANLEY, and BLACK+DECKER. The Compass II Factory marks a meaningful milestone in the corporate’s development journey, underscoring the long-term commitment and support for the growth of the regional mechanical manufacturing industry. The facility will be built on a land plot of nearly 15,000 m² with a total gross floor area of 27,200.9 m².

According to Stanley Black & Decker, the Compass II Factory plays a pivotal role in the three-phase development strategy for the Compass manufacturing system in Vietnam. With the Client’s dedication and strong partnership alignment, the project is expected to reach completion successfully, contributing to the Group’s expansion roadmap.
