(August 28th, 2024), SOL E&C and Tetra Pak Vietnam officially organised the groundbreaking ceremony of “Tetra Pak Binh Duong Factory - Capacity Upgrade” project at VSIP II-A Industrial Park, Binh Duong Province. The event was attended by representatives from the Client - Tetra Pak, Project Management Consultant - Turner & Townsend, Construction Management Consultant - TTCL Vietnam, General Contractor - SOL E&C, and other project partners.

Tetra Pak, a leading global company in food processing and packaging solutions from Sweden, operates in 165 countries worldwide. In Vietnam, the first phase of the Tetra Pak Binh Duong plant was constructed and became operational in 2019. This facility is Tetra Pak's eighth plant in the Asia-Pacific region and one of the most advanced in the area, playing a crucial role in both Vietnam and Tetra Pak's global supply chain. The plant has been awarded the international LEED Gold certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and is the only facility to achieve an AA+ rating, the highest level in the quality management system issued by the British Retail Consortium Global Standards (BRCGS).

In May 2024, Tetra Pak officially announced an additional investment of 97 million euros into its beverage carton manufacturing plant in Binh Duong Province, bringing the total investment since 2019 to over 217 million euros. This investment is part of the company's long-term plan to expand production in Vietnam to meet the growing demand in the regional market. As a leading and reputable general contractor in the construction industry, SOL E&C has continued its partnership with the Tetra Pak Group and was trusted to be the General Contractor for the Capacity Upgrade project at the Tetra Pak Binh Duong plant in VSIP II-A Industrial Park.

Delivering a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Bhave Dilip, Director of the Tetra Pak Binh Duong, emphasized that Tetra Pak prioritizes safety in all its operations, particularly in the construction of its facilities. He expressed his delight in witnessing the upgrade and expansion of the Tetra Pak plant, which adheres to the highest standards of safety and quality. Mr. Bhave also praised the dedicated and professional work ethic, as well as the close and effective collaboration among the Project Management team, Consultants, General Contractor, and other partners throughout the project.

At the event, Mr. Nguyễn Minh Quang, Operations Director of SOL E&C, expressed his thanks for Tetra Pak's trust in choosing SOL E&C as a partner for the Capacity Upgrade package of the project. Like Tetra Pak, SOL E&C places a strong emphasis on safety and quality in all aspects of project execution. During the renovation and upgrade phase, the SOL E&C team worked tirelessly, closely coordinating with all parties involved to complete and hand over the work sections to the equipment installation team safely, meeting the required quality standards and timelines. For the Capacity Upgrade package, SOL E&C is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality and delivering the project on schedule as promised to Tetra Pak.
