On the morning of August 24th, 2024, SOL E&C organised the "ESG Awareness Training Program 2024." The program was conducted both in-person at the company headquarters and online, with over 80 management personnel in attendance, including the Board of Operations, Project Directors, Department Heads and Deputies, and Site Managers. This ongoing training initiative is designed to continuously update the latest developments in ESG practices globally, domestically, and within the construction industry, while also enhancing the knowledge and awareness of SOL E&C’s management team in the corporate’s journey towards sustainable development.

At the beginning of the program, Mr. Ngô Thanh Phong, SOL E&C's Chairman of the Board, emphasized the crucial role of management in building the company’s ESG framework. He highlighted the unique characteristics of the construction industry and the distinct corporate culture at SOL E&C. He also stressed that ESG had to be implemented with clear, concrete goals while ensuring the continued growth of the company’s business operations.

The "ESG Awareness 2024" was conducted by Dr. Hà Tuấn Anh, an expert in training and strategic consulting for leaders. The program aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of global and Vietnamese ESG trends, clearly identify company-specific issues, and engage in detailed discussions on the roadmap for developing and implementing ESG at SOL E&C. Enhancing sustainability awareness among management is a key prerequisite for implementing an effective governance system, supported by a robust company culture that has been upgraded to meet ESG requirements.

The program realistically assessed the advantages and challenges that SOL E&C faces in implementing ESG. Among the advantages, the determination of the leadership, the capability of the management team, initial awareness, as well as the company’s system foundation and potential were highlighted. Whereas, the company needs to undertake additional improvements in its systems, streamline processes, and focus resources to enhance the effectiveness of its sustainability programs.
