As one of Vietnam’s leading general contractors, SOL E&C has successfully delivered numerous projects that meet international green building standards, including LEED and EDGE certifications. Notably, the company has constructed many high-quality industrial and manufacturing facilities for FDI investors that have achieved LEED Gold certification. To attain LEED Gold status, a project must score between 60 and 79 points on the LEED score card. This requires meeting a wide range of criteria related to site selection, resource efficiency, the use of sustainable energy and materials, indoor environmental quality, and innovation in design and green initiatives.
Recently, the Sustainability Development Department of SOL E&C conducted on-site training sessions for employees at Vietnamese Northern projects. This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance awareness and encourage employee engagement in the sustainability strategy. Through the "Understanding Sustainability" training program, each employee will gain deeper insights into the practical value of these initiatives, enhancing personal awareness and contributing to the company’s sustainable growth. The training will continue to expand across all project sites and departments in the coming period.
In Q4/2024, SOL E&C’s Sustainable Development Department launched a used battery collection initiative through the Green Station located at the company’s headquarters. After more than three months of implementation, the program has received strong support from employees, collecting over 5,200 used batteries, which were then transferred to specialized processing units. For every 15 batteries collected, SOL E&C will contribute one tree, supporting the restoration of Vietnam’s forest ecosystems.
Recently, SOL E&C signed a Memorandum of Understanding with two of Vietnam's most prestigious universities: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture (UAH). The MOU signing reaffirms SOL E&C's sustainable partnership with universities in the journey to develop high-quality human resources for Vietnam's construction industry.
Recently, companies within the ecosystem, including Newtecons, Ricons, SOL E&C, BM Windows, Boho, and DB, collectively donated VND 2 billion to Yen Bai Province to assist in recovery efforts from the damages caused by Typhoon Yagi. This funding will be allocated to constructing new classrooms at Khanh Hoa Primary and Secondary School in Luc Yen District, Yen Bai, enabling the relocation of classes from the landslide-prone Lang Khuong Village area to a safer learning environment.
Safety culture is always the difference of SOL E&C that contributes to creating the quality works by international standards while helping our Company build reputation with customers. Safety Festival helps spread that culture to each employee, both creating motivation and construction habits for each worker at the project.
